Past Ride on BatuDam, Ulu Yam 22/03/09

So guys what you think of the ride in BatuDam? As for me, the fun part is really submerging in the water. Never thought that we're that crazy to go through that. The downhill though is a bit tough cause the road has many debris and not to mention the water pass, very technical. Overall its good but the last part on-road, I think everyone's cursing the dreadful uphill. Haha. Sorry guys for being lost here and there from the gps, let me know what you think of this ride so that we can plan better for future rides.

PS: I'll post the gpx file (trail route) we have ridden for your reference soon. Keep posting.

Kit.

It was a good ride, fun but with breath-taking uphill. apparent we were riding the trail around the lake, and missed the more difficult loop, phew...that was fortunate

The thing i like about the place is the lakeview.Phenomenal! The up-hills are really fun killers. The 'river crossing' part was really insane but we made it through, should have lift up our bike instead of soaking it beneath the water though. The only thing I'm disssapointed with is the bamboo route. I thought it'd be like the one which is shown in the photo. The ride was fantastic except for the tumbled bamboos and the up-hills.

I think the picture taken with the bamboo was taken many years ago. Haha. There are also pictures of flooded trail which I did not post. OOops. But, overall, the trail was much more technical than I expected. Better find some more ridable trails soon.

Killer hills, river crossing, technical trails ,45 degree downhills and mosquito... all this is what mountain bike(off road)about...."FUN" We`re riding a mountain bike, looking for excitement and thrill. This is what mountain bike make for(off road),tough and strong. It not the hills is high or the trails is technical,is Ourself....NO Willpower to conquer the killer hills or overcome the trails. If no hills or just flat trails better rides on road, easy and relax. So be tough and strong....say "I Will Return"...."I Can Do It" next time. There a saying "No mountain is high enough to conquer". Be prepare for the miss out more difficult loop.
